This morning as I warmed my car and my navigation door opened up, as it does every morning, but this time the screen never came on. It's just all black, and now the door doesn't close. All of the Navigation buttons are lit, but the screen is blank.
My first thought was that it had something to do with the fact that it was *** cold out this morning. (My thermometer read 1 degree!) But, after the car warmed up, (about 70 degrees inside), the status of the navigation screen was the same.
Is this a common problem? I have 2000 miles left on my bumper to bumber. Is this covered?

get it checked out before the 2000 miles is up...before the stealership says you should of had it looked at under warranty.
then the service manager hand you a fat repair bill so thick that you can beat whales to death with.

Going today. I hope all goes well. I brought it in last year because the navigation door was making a grinding noise, (to a different dealer), and they said that nothing is wrong, and the "technician" reported 'normal operating noise'; whatever that means.
I can here their response now. "You shouldn't be driving when it's really cold."
I bought the car to drive and enjoy it. I'm not going to park it if I can help it.

That SAME exact thing happened to me, in the cold weather it would open, all the keys would stay lit, then it would close again. My radio would also scramble the songs on my CD, but once the car warmed up, I pressed the button and the Navigation opened and the screen came on!

Just got it fixed yesterday. Mine was just stuck open and didn't work at all, (even when the car was warmed up).
It took them a week, but the dealer finally replaced the "Nav Door Amplifier" 24898-CD010.
Working okay now.
