I wanted to order the wiring harness to install my new head unit but was told that the aftermarket wiring harness is useless with the bose system (i have the touring model). Is this true? If so, which color wire is the battery, accessory, antena, ground, illumination? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the standard metra wiring harness worked with my bose system. Plugged right in, and for now i'm using the factory amps and speakers and it sounds quite a bit better. Just make sure that you hook up the amp turn on lead if you're going to be using the factory amps.
