Default Need alternator upgrade to 150+ amps...help?

Come on now guys......someone here had to upgrade their alternator for their audio system.
Where can I get a 150+ amp alternator. 170 amp alt would be just about right.
I've searched all the boards and have found nada!

Anyone????

You'll likely have to do a custom mounting bracket for the thing. They will build custom alternators for special applications.

Ive heard nothing but good things about these guys. They also have a Z on their home page so maybe they have done something with them?

What kind of power are you running such that you need something that stout?

You can send your current alternator for a high-amp rebuild. There are shops that specialize in it.

Thanks for the input everyone!
Well, with the amps I'm using now I will be using a honest 2000 to 2500 RMS watts! So I need 2 batteries and A BIGGER ALTERNATOR!
Man this is COSTLY!
So with my A/V/GPS/Internet build, this is whats happening thus far........
As you guys already know my I had bought my .......
Sony WX7700-MDX HU
Sony XM Radio module
Sony XA-300 Aux-in including USB

Front Speakers- CDT ES620 w/t Up Stage Design
Rear Speaker fill- CDT ES 600 (played VERY low just for full sound)
Amp- Phoenix Gold Xenon X200.4 (Birthsheet is CEA rated at 934 WRMS)

Subs- (2) 10" FI Q's rated at 1000 RMS
Amp- Kicker KX2500.1 (Birthsheet is CEA rated at 2625 WRMS)
I went with the Kicker amp because I'll only use 900-1000WRMS to each sub and it will give me ample headroom for good transient response.

Zenclosure w/t Amp rack

and now for my GPS/DVD/MP3's/Internet/ OBDII ....I'm "STILL" researching on how to build a CarPC in the same fashion as Leemik's!

My brain and wallet hurt!
