Was wondering how i would be able to play dvd's on the stock navigation screen, is it even possible ?

 

There are companies that make an adapter to 'ADD' a DVD player in conjunction with the stock unit. You would then toggle back and forth. But as far as my knowledge and extensive internvet research, the formating of the DVD is for the DVD's themselves. If you have an 05 G like mine, you cant even play 06 G Navigation DVD's in it.

There is a company out of Canada that makes updated ROads for the before 06 models....They would know the formating codes, however getting a DVD into that format from a movie isnt worth the trouble.

thanks then i think im going to go for the second screen where my stock audio is use top for navi and the bottom as a car computer

 

I think I am going to go with the new Microsoft ZUNE or a small DVD to go where my ashtray is....that will be cool and not take up too much room. Good luck, let me know how it goes, and I will do the same.
