Default Speakers Hate Cold Weather?

OK, my front components seem to act really funny when it is cold outside. They barely work! It is the weirdest thing, does anyone know why the heck they are doing this? Is it my HU(Pioneer 7800) or my components(Kappa Perfect 6.0) that are causing my songs to be blasted through the back speakers!?

Well, not sure exactly how 'cold' it's been down in Charlotte, but my stockers have been fine (as far as stocks go) up here in NJ the past few weeks and it's been in the single digits. BRRRRRR

Speakers are really impervious to most weather conditions outside of complete freezing (they willl essentially stiffen up ... losing bass response for the most part) ... don't know what to tell you
