Default weird problem...

hey u guys, i have a really wierd situation.

see, i am in east coast. i just got this avic n3 unit brand new. i popped in the west coast map disk since i didnt have the east coast disk yet. what happen was it didn't load or anything. after a while, it says the "disk is being checked" and then i waited and then it said " dvd-rom has some problem". I was like WTH?? so i got the dvd movie and see if it plays it back...it did!

now i dont know whats going on. i tried resetting, i tried letting the car warm a little bit ..im in florida..its not that cold..plus i always have my car in garage..i looked the west coast map disk and see if it has any scratches..well there isnt..so i looked at other site..the avic411.com, i read that some people has this similar problems and they called the pioneer and pioneer told them that "laser eye is misaligned" ..however i dont think mine is misaligned otherwise it wouldnt play back the dvd movie...which obviously contradicts it.

so has anyone has this similiar problems? can anyone give me some suggestion?

thanx!

see if you can go to a pioneer dealer and test out another east coast dvd, if it works, then its your disc, if it doesnt, then since you have already tried to reset it and nothing changed, its probably some strange fault inside the unit.

in that case, send it in for warranty repairs. no point trying to play around with it more honestly after that.
