There are a couple of Farenheit T-7000MHR's on eBay right now. Price is fixed (Buy It Now items) at $105 + $25 for shipping. If you not in too big a hurry to get one, they show up occasionally open to bids. I got one last year for $80 and just watched one sell for $56 this week. --Spike

About the Farenheit T-7001MHR…some things to consider (and this is for the ’03 upper/forward cubby fitment).
T-7000MHR: 1 input for video, 0 output for video
T-7001MHR: 2 inputs for video, 1 output for video
You can toggle video display on T-7001MHR (AV1 to AV2) using the remote control.
The IR sensor of the T-7000MHR is on the upper left side of the monitor’s frame while the IR sensor on the T-7001MHR is on the middle right side of the monitor. No big deal, but I point this out in case someone has a T-7000MHR installed and has the hole drilled, and then mistakenly thinks the T-7001MHR will drop into the same space with no requirement to drill a new hole in a different place.
The T-7000MHR comes with a headrest frame. The LCD itself is a separate piece from the headrest frame, and it is well-shrouded with plastic sides and a metal cover on its back.
T-7001MHR comes with a very cheap plastic headrest mount that also serves as the side and back protection. When you remove the T-7001MHR from the cheap plastic headrest mount, it is totally exposed and naked (no side or back protection). The circuit board is totally exposed. To mount the T-7001MHR in the Z’s forward/cubby, you must remove the outer flange of the headrest mount (it is a custom saw-job) leaving the sides and back of the headrest mount intact. Once you do that (carefully cut-off the outer flange of the cheap headrest mount), the T-7001MHR fits the Z’s upper/forward cubby perfectly.
I bench-tested the video display of the Farenheit T-7001 against a Power Acoustik PT-700MHR (which is the same as a Farenheit T-7000MHR) and a couple of other headrest monitors from two popular/common companies. For this test I used a RadioShack 13.8VDC-3 Amp (AC to DC) Power Supply. My video supply was a DVD player and a Garmin GVN 52. I used a composite video connector for both sources to the LCD screens. Video is NTSC.
Results: All the LCD’s looked equal (with minor color variations that were not significant) when displaying video from the DVD player, but the Farenheit T-7001MHR had a slightly better display (text was slightly sharper) with maps and text when the Garmin GVN 52 was the source. I don’t understand this since the Farenheit T-7001MHR shares the same board (well… almost the same board) as the Power Acoustik PT-700MHR and the Farenheit T-7000MHR. I can only think this is an aberration or a manufacture’s inconsistency. It was necessary to turn the “Color” setting way down (zero is OK) to achieve best text display on any of these units.

EDIT (FEB 19, 2007): Just did some more testing after downloading v2.30 software/driver for the Garmin GVN52. Garmin says on their website that v2.30 improves composite video, and my test show that is true. Additional testing on the Farenheit T-7001MHR and the Power Acoustik PT-700MHR show the Power Acoustik provides better video with more controls (tested with the GVN52 and a DVD player as the input source). This is a different result than I describe in this thread. For the best video display (text and graphics), choose the Power Acoustik PT-700MHR or the Farenheit T-7000MHR instead of the Farenheit T-7001MHR.
