Default Alpine Type R 12" - Will it fit??

During my "pre-buy" research I was wondering the above. I currently have a 12" Alpine in my BMW and it's in a ported box. What options do I have to keep the same sound output, but in a box that won't take up the entire back of my prospective Z.

thast gonna be tough, 10s fit much better, there are other options to fit it of course, but it will eat up a bit of your space, espeic\ally with one as deep as the type R.

also, you will need nowhere near hte power, or hte size of the sub, to achieve the same output in the Z as in your BWM unless you had a Z3 coupe or soemthing very small hatch back like that

I just purchased a 12" understrut box from xtreme-kustoms off Ebay. The build quality was really good. I wanted to put a type R in it but the box needs to be about a 1/8 of an inch deeper. So I went with a new W3v3 12. I havent broke it in yet cause I just picked it up about 1 hour ago but it is gonna be WAYYYYYYY too loud. If I could do it over I would prolly go with a W6 10". The 12" just makes the whole car rattle. But I am still very happy with it. Just wanted to give you my

ecleptic97,I've got the same box,the one where the front is fiberglassed to fit a 12,havent tried it out yet though, but I tried fitting my JL 12w6v2 and it didnt fit,i took it into work today and ground down some of the fiberglass resin inside along with some of the mdf inside to clear the magnet, but it does fit,but I'm almost positive a type-r would fit,i think the 12w6 body is all around bigger in diameter
