Thumbs up All I can say is OMG...

I finally got a chance this weekend to finish the dynamat and install my speakers. The car sounds awesome. I didn't realize how much different music sounded with good speakers. I have been listening to stock speakers since I have been driving. Makes me want to change the channel less often and listen through cds. The stock speakers hurt my ears. I thought it was just the way the head unit was tunned. Thank god I replaced them...

did you ONLY replace the speakers?

that is it? that much better? What type speakers, how much and how hard to install?

What about the special bose connectors, did you just splice into the wires?

I had also installed a CDA-7894. I was running the alpine with the stock speakers for about a month.

Add an amplifier to those speakers and really watch them come alive. A nice PPI, Arc Audio, xtant, McIntosh, Zapco or other high quality amp will make them sound 10x better.
