Need help switching 2004 non-Bose to Bose
I just got for FREE, an entire 2004 Bose system and I want to put it into my stock 2004 350Z. I did a search and couldn't find a definite answer on how to wire it all up and a lot of people are ripping on the Bose system. This is MY budget upgrade, so please any help would be appreciated.
I do not have any existing wires in the back to hook up the amp and when I hook up the radio, it sounds really quiet. I heard I could use a Metra wiring harness or some kind of Pheri...? harness. Can someone give me step by step instructions (possibly part #'s) on how to install this system? Also, how do I wire in the amp with the sub? Maybe later on down the road I can upgrade from the Bose, but for now, this is going to have to do.
Thanks

Most people will tell you you're wasting your time. The quality of the Bose system just isn't worth the effort and expense.
In order to hook up the whole system, you're probably going to need the wiring harness for the Touring car (which had the Bose). As you've already discovered, the stock wiring harness does not have the connections for the Bose.
I would recommend getting a copy of the Factory Service Manual so you can see how it was wired and where each of the components are installed. I'll be happy to PM you the info on the FSM.

Seriously, if you're on a "budget" just upgrade your head unit and you'll see a huge improvement
