Default Need help picking out speakers!!

The bose on my 03 are about to go out. So im looking into buying new speakers. Cant decided because of price i can get Dynaudios for 700 3way i LOVE the way they sound there so CLEAN AND CRISP AT FULL BLAST. Ive also been looking at the kappa perfects i can get those for 200 thats why i leaned towards them i went to go listen to them there not bad for 200 doller speakers. I usually try to get things on hookup prices only. Havent looked at any otheres but for 500 bucks more dynaudio? worth the performance for 500? iono for 200 for the perfects thats cheap though any suggestions anyoe

for around 5 bills I would consider looking at the Polk SR6500. the tweeters are the best I've ever heard. They are so smooth and have no harshness to them even at full tilt. It's a great sounding speaker if you're looking for SQ, but if you're looking for SPLs this is not for you.

You can find Focals in that range that are nice, I like the new Polk Audio stuff as well. I went with ADS which has great mid-bass and decent SQ. I debated between Focal and the Polks for awhile as well, but decided to go with the Polks as my next upgrade, but at $900 they are more.

Ya. But im saying the Kappa PERFECTS are only 200 and the dynaudios are 700 so for 500 bucks more is it WORTH it ? =\ ill check out the Polks ive listend to FOcal i liek it but it seems more VOCAL to me like a brighter sound. But there nice indeed wit subs for sure not alone in my taste i think the DYNAUDIOS sound better

I have the dynaudio setup you're considering and wouldn't change them for the world. I actually paid closer to 1300 for the 3-way and then also picked up two additional 7 inchers for plenty of mid-bass.

The deal on E-bay is the best price I've seen on them, and I would ****** them up in a hurry. They're worth every penny above a Boston, Infinity, Polk, and even focal...

Make sure you have plenty of power, at least 200 good RMS. I have around 300 RMS from an old PPI amp to each. Go for it!

Try to find an older set of MB Quart. I run 2 sets of 6.5" seperates that are the Q series, and I love them to death. The newer ones aren't as good, because if what I heard is true, it was bought out by another company Focal also makes a really good set.

Problem with speakers is Opinion..some people like sharp high's some like to get bass out of a 6.5(thats what subs are for) i used to install speakers all the time in cars and it just depends on what sounds good to you...alot of the time i think alot of speakers sound tinny but ive had nothing but luck out of Infinity LOVE the components(in my Z) but they aren't kappa.. I however have heard kappa and like the sound produced.. Amps are also another issue, if you have a bose system be forewarned that you have to replace all the wiring since it runs on 2ohm(i think thats the Ohm) but the bose system will also have an amp made by bose somewhere hidden in the Z that has to be disconnected...so thats something to keep in mind.. My Z is going to have my 10inch L7, pioneer 6700mp
Kicker KX600.1 class D Amp and a set of Eclipse 6.5 for behind the seat, and a set of Infinity Reference 6.5 components w/silk tweets .. ive honestly never like bose tho and when it goes it blose.... IMO its best to listen to it before you purchase because there is nothing worse than bad sounding speakers you cant return because to you they sound like $hit...if you got any questions PM me.
