I was wondering if this would work and if anyone know how to or could help do this:

I want to hook up a Farenheit(7001) screen in 03 cubby, hook it up to a back up camera, and hook it up to an ipod with video capibility(DVD) and have the ipod hooked up to the stock 03 bose HU for sound. I would like to have a docking station for ipod mounted where coin holder is down in that area somewhere that allows the ipod to be hooked to HU for sound but that may be a little much.

Any help will be apreciated!!

 

I can't really help you, but it sounds like you know what you want and are ambitious, so if you have those two qualities you can get just about anything to work. Oh ya, and $$

 

Sounds easy enough, I think you need to check and see if the Ipod video cables have audio and video or if they are just video. If they are both then you should just be able to run the video to the screen and the audio to the cd player and use the Ipod adapter for that. If it is audio only on the video cables then you might have a problem trying to get two things connected to the Ipod.

 

you can buy a video switcher...electronic ones cost more $ and are big, but they also make manual switches for video/audio. Check ebay - they have some that has 3 inputs and 1 ouput...the toggle switch chooses which input to connect to the output. (that seems the easiest way to switch between the back up camera and ipod)

I saw a monster cable ipod cable with video and audio that runs through the dock on the bottom. That would be the way to go, price was $40 on Amazon.
