I did a search on this, but came up with nothing usefull. I was wondering if the non-bose factory head unit had pre-outs to hook up an aftermarket amp. If anyone can shed some light on the topic or atleast point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

 

C Dubs,,,,no the factory HU does not have pre-outs. You will need to get the line-out adapt in order to convert the signal. Keep us posted on the progress of your stereo.

I'm in the process of running a line-level converter, but I'm not sure which wires to splice into. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the factory HU? Also, for those that did this, how far back did you cut the wires? Is there an "extension" to the factory harness that I can buy? This is holding me up. Any info will be appreciated.
