Default Radar detector (need help quick)

OK I'm a slug and I haven't kept up on this forum.

Long story short. I bought a Solo2 (escort cordless) because I want the detector in 4 cars (I drive all of them about 25% of the time). Cordless also frees up my power outlet for my cell phones.

Anyway my solo is a piece of crap and is going back. It stopped working 2 times. Just stopped working. It may be just one bad unit, but I don't want a solo replacement anyway because it's too damn quiet.

I have it on max volume and just bearly hear it. I want something to wake me the hell up and I listen to music loud and if I'm in my S2000 it is loud with the top down.

So my question is this.

1) what is the loudest detector between V1 and pasport 8500?

Also if you have to let me know why the V1 is better than the 8500 (besides the arrows)

thanks

I'm not going to go into that again. IT JUST IS!

I don't know which one is louder but I'm a metal head and I more than likely play my music louder than you and I can still hear my V-1 going off but the visual of the BIG red arrow lighting up will get your attention as well.

If you were decicated you could wire the V1 to play alerts over your car audio system.

Anesthesiologists are so doped up on their gas that they can't hear their own radar detectors!
