Default Amp Mounting?

I'm installing my amp under the glove box. Question is, is it save to drill and use dry wall screws there to hold the amp in place?? Anything underneath that could get damaged if I do drill? I wouldn't want to be drilling into the fuel tank.

?? nobody knows? I've seen some that are mounted under the glove compartment before. Also for those that did mount under the glove box, were you able to put the plastic storage tray back in?

Just use the shortest screws you can, less than 1" should be plenty.

I know the gas tank is right near there, but you should be fine.

I mounted my amp rack in the factory sub comparment (pics in other thread).
