Question Please Help Audio Q's

Hey guys, i need some help understanding wiring up a monitor, deck and seperate dvd player.

Ive purchased;
deck - Sony wx-7700mdx
monitor - Alpine TME-M760
dvd - Clarion VS715

All those in the audio know, r these elements compatible with each other and if so how do they hook up (talk) to each other? I assume u run an AV lead from deck to monitor, dvd to deck, and dvd to deck. Is that correct? Will that allow me to adjust sound of dvd movies on the deck????

Please help. I intend to purchase the rest of my audio elements online and dont want to pay some Aussie installer 60% over RRP just for this advice.

Sam

Default Here is my suggestion

Here is what I would recommend. First, I assume you are using the DVD as the only video source. You want to take the video output from the DVD (Yellow RCA) run that to the video input on the alpine monitor (Yellow RCA). Then, take the audio signal from the DVD (Red and White RCAs) and run them to the "aux" input of the Sony. (also should be RCAs.) In this configuration you will have volume control of the DVD through the Sony. Just select the "aux" setting on the sony, turn on the monitor and DVD player and you should be good to go.
