Default Xtant vs JL amp

which mono block would you rather drive a 10 " sub?

Xtant A600 or JL 500/1

I haven't heard the xtant A600 yet, but I am impress with the JL 500/1 after listening to it driving a 12".

xtant > JL Audio

Although for these two amps they are both close so do you want to be like everyone else and go with JL or would you want to be different and go xtant?

It depends on what 10" sub you're powering. I assume you are powering a high-end 10" sub that can handle 500 watts RMS. If so, I can only intelligently speak on the 500/1. I know it to be a reliable and solid amp. What kind of enclosure are you thinking about using . . . . sealed, ported, or band-pass?

Maybe you meant the Xtant A6001? I am not familiar w/ an Xtant A600 amp. The A6001 is a single channel amp that puts out 300 watts RMS at 4ohms and 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms. So, if you need/want the extra 100 watts, and can design a system w/ a total impedance of 2 ohms, then go w/ the Xtant. If you plan a 4 ohm impedance, go w/ the JL amp.
