For those who have placed sound deadeners in the hatch area, have you removed the few patches of factory deadener on the wheelwells and floor before starting to lay down your deadeners of choice? Did you also cover the strut bar arch? How about on or under the cardboard spare tire cover/hatch floor? I am getting ready to gut my hatch area this weekend, and lay down some Second Skin Overkill Pro and Dampifier Pro to get ready for audio upgrades and cut some exhaust drone,so would appreciate any tips or possibe pitfalls with this mod.

They're floating around somewhere, but I can't remember where. Sorry...

Thanks..... I did the same. Worked fine. The floor of the hatch area has bolts sticking up . There are a couple of places the foam has holes to fit over the bolts. A little wiggling and they came out with only removing the back panel and removing the hold down bolts from the sides.

No worries.
