JDM key with integrated features
Why does the key supplied for the JDM incorporate all of the basic features, lock, unlock and alarm directly in the key whereas here in the USA we must use the lare and bulky key fob? Any answers?

Pic of my key....................
i rather no key at all. carrying around a card in my wallet and being able to just walk up to my car and start it must feel great. i hate bulky key chains, the less the better.
markm is that just because your in the uk or did you make that. I would love to have a key like that. I have a viper alarm and don't want to carry two remotes just so i can roll the windows up and down.
the JDM key uses a different radio frequency or something. There was a discussion about this a while back. Bascially you can't get a JDM key work with a North American car.
There's a more recent thread about retro fitting the existing keyfob into a Mazda key if you're into that....someone did it with the VW flip keys as well.
