Default time for a change in amps need help deciding

ok, I had an old crossfire 400 watt 2 channel amplifer (by old I mean 10 years) pushing these CDT componets:

The amps left channel has a short in it and its pissing me off reaching back and tapping the connection while driving...

So I was thinking of doing something different... Currently in addition to those front drivers, mounted using the wicked cas fiberglass door enclosures (which are freakin awsome.) The CDT tweets are mounted in the kick panels, and I have a couple of JL evolution tweets playing high fill 5-8khz in the stock position. and I am currently running this headunit

and I have a pair of old Alpine Type R (total sucktitute) midbass drivers and crossovers lying around (these) the tweets are dead.

What would be wrong with re-setting up everything as follows: Fill tweeters in stock position powered by new amp, Main tweeters in kick panels powered by same new amp, Front componet drivers powered by same new amp. Old alpine drivers placed in rear fill position run by headunit amplifier and utilizing the alpine crossover I have (or should I run them with the same CDT crossover that is running the fronts?) My sub is a jl12w6 powered by a phoenix gold xs2500 and that is not changing, still running beautifully.

anyone on to the list of amps that I found that I need you fine people to help me narrow them down.
first: four channel but bridgeable
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=2698
second: again four channels but bridgeable.
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=3807
I really would like to have this one, just because it would match my xs2500 and the power rating for bridging down to two channel is dead on 180rms.

lastly, I dont think this amp has enough power to do what I want it to do.

sorry for the long post and the rambling, thanks ahead of time all.

my next setup in any vehicle will be totally CDT. Im sold, sq is about 100 times better than anything else ive heard or tried. Do you think the CDT amp will have enough juice? Its only rated 100wx2 @ 4ohms and the drivers are rated at 180w rms.

I really dont want to spend 550 beans on an amplifier, and that amp is way overkill for what i want to use it for. I wish CDT would make a larger selection of amplifiers rather than a whopping four options.

i run 600 watts to a set of components

RF-X162S Components

the pair of 6.5" and 1.1" are sharing the 600 watts

i kinda need it i have 5000 watts on my lows

that amp gained down would work , but the price is high

overkill is just about right for me

ZED ZA-DraconiaBB will have the power your looking for but is still $475
