Back in my days the best sub set-up was 2 15's. Either Punch classics, Lanzars, MTX Blue Thunders, or Kickers. Best amps were Zeus, Sherwood w/built in cooling fan, Linear Power, Punch amps, or the ever affordable - Majestic 500w

so you guys wouldnt even consider JL audio as a top sub woofer. Even the w7 and w6 series. Guess im a noob but dam any louder or cleaner then the w7 series would be amazing. What sub is priced around the same that compare to a w7 or w6. Right now i have 2 12"w6v2s and a jl audio e1800d amp but i need one more amp to push them nicley.
edit: I just looked up those re xxx subs you guys mentioned wow i may sell my 2 12" w6v2 and buy a re xxx 12" thing is massive what kinda air space is required

after 5 minutes of 1000watt bass you can't tell the delta between one and another anyway I say RF or JL are good bang for the buck unless your looking for super hi-fi (blow some serious dough) subs

I will always miss my Adire Brahma. That thing was a beast. i sounded exactly like a RE XXX if anyone knows what that is. Both utilize the XBL^2 motor structure but the XXX has a bit more of xmax. If i had an SUV or something, i would buy it all over again and put it in the same ported box.

some people do an sq set up with 500 watts and some with 5000 watts so there are many subs that sound great with different power fed to them
hence there is not one answer and one sub due to the different needs of the user
i might consider a jl w7 , or a seas , or an Fi Q on 500-1000 watts
were if i were running 2500 watts then an re xxx, or Rd alpha V.2
just depends on so many things , but install is key
