Default What is the lightest amp and subwoofer i cant get?

I was wondering what kinda light weight amps and sub woofers are out there. I know that the heavier the equipment are, the better the sound quality you get, but I really want my car to be lightweight. My head unit is an Alpine iva d105

What lightweight amp and sub would be good(list weight). im thinking under 15lbs, or if i can get it under that would be awsome. is a single 8 good enough? I also have a light weight battery(odyssey pc680). would this be a problem?

i would suggest a nice component system ran off an amp. There is good midbass but if you really looking to thump, two jl w3 8" subs are pretty loud for what they are.

I thought the Alpine PDX amps would be light, but when I got them I weighed them and they were as heavy as my DLS five channel amp. Smaller package, but same weight. For some reason good quality means added weight when it comes to audio equipment in a lot of cases. The eD K series seems reasonably sized (13 lbs), but eD amps are pretty heavy. Too bad the Polk Carbon series isn't actually as light as carbon fiber. Maybe you can go on a diet and lose ten pounds so you can get a decent sub and amp. The DLS RA40 is around 8 lbs.

Alpine Digital Amps PDX ... and the Infinity Kappa 102.7W Sub (Neodymium motor) ...13lbs for the woofer ... even less for the amp.

I'm getting the 8" sub, think it weights 6 or 7lbs.
