Hi y'all,

I was bored this morning, so I decied to go check out some speakers and amps. I actually thought the stock sound system was not bad at all, but man...was I wrong. I checked the Diamond Audio S600A with JL 300/2 amp, but was not too impress with the set up. Than I checkd out the Focal 165K with Phoenix Gold TI400.2, and I loved this set up. The shop quoted me for $1577 for this set up(include all parts and installaion). Is it a good price? I know I can buy the parts on line for a lot cheaper, but Focal and Phoenix Gold don't give warrany for online store. Is it worth to have the warranty and pay the extra 500?

 

well im not sure if you are willing to LA for this but here's the quote i got from "Sound Image", a local store.

I was quoted for $1500, I will get three kicker L7 10in sub with Hyphonics Colossus XI, which puts out 1800W X 1 @4 Ohm, and a non-show custom box in the trunk.

that's the best deal I have ever found so far. dunno if there's better ones but it's well enough for me... Good luck!
