Default Installation Problem with Alpine to Bose system

I am installing my Alpine head unit into my 04. I picked up a wiring harness and spliced all the wires together. It lights up great but no sound? I know i did it right because I installed the same head unit into my eclipse.

Is there something that I need to connect it to the bose system. My roomate says there is a different wiring harness for the bose?

Anyone have some advise?

for bose you need to make usre:

1. the remote turn on wire from the headunit (blue with white stripe) is connected to the amp turn on wire from the harness adapter (also blue/white stripe). this turns on the bose amp

2. hook the amp ground wire (i think black with a white stripe?) on the harness adapter to ground, though this may not be neccessary, its a good practice to do it anyway

do those an you should be up and running with sound, though if you didnt use a bose adapter module you may get some annoying HISS in the background at all volume levels.

good luck

it's called PAC OEM 1. Search for it on eBay. It's an adapter / filter to convert the signal over the stock speaker and subwoofer unit. I just did my install and it's pretty much a straight forward. No issues at all.

I am looking at it now, so this plugs into my wiring harness from the head unit, then into the car's harness? I dont see where I would splice my head unit wires into it anywhere?
