Default Basic install on my 07

Had a local shop do everything, very pleased with the way everything turned out.

Here's a breakdown of what was installed:

Pioneer AVIC-D3 with BT, Ipod controller and XM
Infinity Reference 6022SI 6.5" in the doors
Stock speakers behind the seats
Alpine MRP FR450
Alpine MRP M450
2x 10" MTX 5500 subs in a 1.0 cubic foot enclosure

Mike's Z mount and Escort 8500 X50

Mandatory pet pic.

nice and clean setup, but not feeling the location of the amps, i would preferably have hidden them in the cubby. but everything else looks good.

For the audio yes(Power/Mode/volume/Seek) it works great, the steering wheel adaptor I believe was $99.

My phone (Sprint-Samsung A640) is a pain in the *** to use with the Bluetooth so I'm just not using it through the system. Trying to find a phone through Sprint that is a little more compatible.

I think the dash kit is a little off. Looks like it doesnt fit properly. Also +1 on the amp location. That also has to limit your visibility some.

They used a metra kit, sorry I don't have any better pics but it's sits pretty flush.

The amp rack blocks about 2" more than the track bar. Not a big hiderance and was discussed during the build.

That pic looks a lot better. Looks nice and flush there. Maybe its just the angle of the other pic. Did they do the bypass for you ?

No, they would not do it. I know how to do it myself after checking AVIC411.com, just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.l

Ok, thanks. Thats the main reason why I didnt want a shop to install mine if I got one. Makes no sense to have the DVD and not be able to use it while driving. For the passenger of course. Its a 2 seater. The only headache is that you have to take apart the whole dash just to move a couple of wires.

I used a Metra kit and my trim ring does the same exact thing, falls back at the top and pops out on the bottom.. Except I have a 10 year old Alpine double din.

Are you sure this would take just 3 minutes. Taking apart the dash, connecting the wires, puting the dash back together all in 3 minutes. You are fast man, very fast.
