I like the Metra dash kit much better than the Scoshe which I had for my first single DIN install.
The pocket piece on the Scoshe kept coming apart. On the Metra, it's not two pieces, all one molded piece, even though I didn't use it because I went Double DIN this time, I thought it was a better kit.

Wiring kits, IMO, all the same pretty much.

I bought both the Metra and the American Internation and returned the AI as the Metra was stronger and better looking.

Most kits come with both single and double DIN pieces so you can do either type of installation. The outer trim piece is the critical one for both because it matches up the curve of the front of the console.

For my latest double DIN, I took the advice of a friend and drilled new mounting holes in the factory bracket, about 3/8" back from the original, so that I got a nice flush look at the front. Could only use 3 of the 4 holes because of the way the bracket is shaped but it's still tight and doesnt rattle.

Same thing might not apply for single DIN because I don't think you can use the factory bracket for a single DIN but would use what comes with the kit.

Overall, I was happy with the single DIN setup, just the pocket thing was irritating sometimes. I would reach for my wallet and the pocket piece would separate and sit back and down some. I would just reach in, grab it around the inside edge and pull it back into place.

Check the link below. For the double DIN, you use a razor blade and cut out the thin piece going across the middle of the outer trim piece. You would not use any of the other pieces for a double DIN except the side spacers.

When I did my double DIN, I was able to sell the single DIN pieces...
