Default would this qualify as a custom install?

I am not sure if I ever posted pictures here is my Z.

Headunit - Pioneer Dehp880mp
Amp- Alpine PDX4150
Sub Amp- RE 12.1
Front Stage- Custom 3 way Polk Audio SR. 6.5 Midbass Ran Active 5.25 and Tweet ran passive.
Wiring- JL Audio 2 gague 2 amp kit "the new kit with the rubber connectors" JL Audio Blue RCA's and Audioquest type 8 home speaker wire.
Subs- 2 10" Polk SR Woofers

This is one of the best sounding cars I have built in the last 8 years. The only thing that needs some work is my staging everything else is tuned just the way I like it. I tried to get this system close to my 2 channel house system which is Focal Diva's and a Velodyne DD15. Only thing that I need to work on is the high's, its been hell trying to get the ring radiator to sound anything like the Be Tweet.

If I cannot get it a little closer I have been debating switching out the polks with a 2 way set of Focal Kit6's that I have sitting in my dining room.

Why not a full active front stage? I've always run passive setups but curious to how easy it would be to run a 3-way active setup

Wasnt a fan of the polks ran fully active. I have to many spikes in the midrange on the rta which were hard to EQ out. I have ran them active and I personally enjoy the sound of them ran passive with the active midbass.

This is the 2nd system I have had in this car. The first one was completly stolen on xmas day. I had the alpine double din and the h701 processor with polk audio 400.4 and a polk audio 300.2

Looks great, smooth, clean and eye-catching without being tacky or over the top..... Keep it up, don't let anyone tell you otherwise...

Oh, and the funny thing is, there are plenty of people on this board who don't even own Z's but love to comment on things with utter expertise.... LOL

ENJOY IT!

And he thinks your car has a crappy audio system.

Not everyone wants the same thing from their cars.

And it's really arrogant to assume that your opinion is the end all of opinions.

Looks good. How long have you had the velodyne subs? I didn't realize they had any car audio products anymore.

Velodyne? Don't you mean Polk SR? I know, because I have one of these babie's in my Z... well, I did until I went back to the Seas Lotus (much better quality IMHO)
