Question Stock CD Changer

What/where is the cheapest anyone can find the stock 6 disc changer? Or what are some other models that will work the same (and use the nissan head unit/controls)?

I havent extensively researched it but you could give Soundgate a call and see if these work on the new 2003 models

http://www.soundgate.com/products/cd...n-infiniti.htm

This will interface aftermarket changers with the factory head units. Much cheaper than buying the 6disc changer from nissan for 600 bucks.

Let me know what you find out.. Also the Pioneer one works with XM, so that would be really nice..

So do those basically take the place of an FM modulator?

Also, as far as the satellite radio goes, I know some people like it, but Im against it completely... Of the large number of stations, theres only a handful that I like and would listen to, and since it takes, literally, like 2 minutes to burn a CD, I can't justify paying over a hundred bucks a year + equipment for non-cd-quality sound.

They kind of take the place of fm-modulators, but more directly take the place of factory CD changers. I saw a 6-disc factory changer on courtesyparts.com going for 600 bucks.

That is a rediculous amount of money for a changer. The addon pieces from soundgate will plug into the vehicles factory changer harness and interface with an aftermarket changer.

You get to keep your factory head unit and all the controlls run through it. (no anoying fm-modulator control flopping around or velcroed to your dash)

Unfortunately, Soundgate does not make an interface for the Nissan changer control bus.

So, your only choice of a factory interface changer is the one offered by Nissan.
