Is this amp gonna be okay?
I had my Z stolen and they took my amp which was a Kenwood KAC-6202 (60W x 2, 200W bridged) that powered Polk db6500 component front speakers. I was using the stock HU and no sub. I was happy with the setup and sound.
The car came back minus the amp but with the polks untouched. My insurance used a buying agency and replaced the amp for me with a Pioneer GM-5300T (250W x 2, 760 W max).
The stupid thieves left the polks, but I don't know if they'll be way overpowered with this new amp and what that can mean for them. I don't know anything about car audio.
I thought this would probably be a great sub amp, but this is NOT the time for me to be changing, upgrading, or going to any kind of new set-up due to the other associated costs of the stolen car (rental car, deductible, etc).
Thanks for any advice!

Thieves and insurance ppl.. neither one knows jack about audio equipment...
I feel your pain. I had my previous car stolen and they took everything out of the glove box, which included the cd needed to re-authenticate the stereo if the battery is disconnected... so what do the police do when they find it and store it? They disconnect the battery... Took me 2 months to get a new one that would work.
