Tuning Avic N3 settings
hey guys, i have avic n3. I have no clue how to tune the bass/trebles and stuff like that on the audio settings.
I play musics that has moderate uses of bass and other beats. Mostly i play reggae, musics like lenny kravitz, erykah badu, the roots, and bands like limp bizkit, linkin park, korn, and some nice mellowed out musics with bit of classical musics like this british band called "bonds", hot girls playing violins. Also, i play some hindi musics which doesn't consists bass but moderate use of bass.
I want to be able to hear the voices and other instruments with moderate bass in background. Right now, i feel like the bass is booming over the music.
So any experts can help me preset them? I know everyone has their own tastes and opinions.
But if anyone can put in their avic n3 tuning sets that i could read and make changes to so that i could know what it sounds like?
Thanks so much guys! i appreciate your taking time for reading this.
hoping for Bing, Paul and others valued audio pros to chime in

the truth is, there is no set formula for good sound...cuase it varies based on:
1. your car
2. the equipment you use
3. the location and technique you used to install your gear
4. most imporantly, your own listening preference
so if you just have a n3 installed on a stock system, there really isnt much you can do that would make any difference...if you have a full aftermarket system...then list what oyu have and we can see about helping you further...
but a good way to start, is with a flat EQ, loudness off, then use the 3 band parametric it has to go from freq to freq. use a favorite song of yours that you know howit SHOULD sound, and then go through each freq, first boost it all the way up,t hen turn it all the way down, and find a medium that you think it sounds best, then move onto the next freq.
among the 3 band choices you will end up with a setting that you enjoy the most.
also know htat tuning is a very long process if you have a full aftermarket system, evne on Zs and Gs, where i have done so many of htem with almost identical equipment, i still spend a good 4-8 hours after the intslal is powered up to tune and tweak it, and i do this for EVERY car i build
so honetsly, there is no magic formula for anyone to suggest...

yes i do like the default settings, but i think the pro who installed it for me set it too loud and the bass is hitting too hard for my taste.
I have bose system with jbl amp. i switched out the bose amp.
today i read the pioneer avic n3 manual and learned some stuff about the settings. so i sat in the passenger seat because i want to feel how much of the front speakers is putting out. also i sat in the driver's seat as well to feel the bass and subwoofer.
i played with many different kinds of musics..i figured out the kind of settings i like that can play all kinds of music.
so ya, took me 2 hours to play around..it's all good.
thanx for the inputs, though.
