Unhappy bmw audio

hey i know its not a z or g but the other forums suck. im trying to work on a 2000 x5 with dsp and put a pioneer deh-p9800bt in it. does anyone know if i need a pac oem 2 to hook up in between the headunit and the harness adapter? right now the hu is hooked just to the harness adapter and is being powered up but there is no sound coming. also the pioneer has a blue/white wire coming out its wiring bundle. does anyone know what this wire is for specifically? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would call Crutchfield......their customer service is great. Tell them you are thinking of buying a new headunit and you want to know what else you will need.

Get their toll-free number here: www.crutchfield.com

The bule/white color designation is usually a turn-on lead for a power antenna or an amplifier.

I have a BMW X5 too. I would try over at X5world.com. They have a forum that has been helpful for me.
