Thumbs up Yet another V1 hardwire install

So I'm a girl who was afraid to try this on my own in fear of fu**ing something up - and I'm glad I was. I ordered the V1 Thursday, and got it yesterday (since I'm here in the city), and went up the street to get drake3 to install for me today.

He cut short the RJ-11 and tapped into and soldered it to the auto-dimming mirrors. I just sat and watched Well, I DID hold the wires while he was soldering them LoL.

Thanks drake. It works for me!

Please excuse the pics.

Such a crappy day

Thumbs up RADAR Detector install

Looks good. I used the same concept but decided to hide the wire "tap" behind the factory telescopic trim piece. I found this to give the install an overall cleaner and more OEM look.

Default RADAR Detector install

The wire on the far left (Black w/ Red stripe) is the 12 Volt switched. The middle wire (Solid Black) is the ground.
