Default What I'm looking for...

I have an 04 base. I am looking for a double din touch screen navi with built in maps, that would also have the capability to play a dvd on output screens while the headunit has navigation on it. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but basically I want navigation on the screen while playing a movie for the other person in the car... Anyone know if this exists? Also, IPod input?

Search around, this has been covered a lot.

There are several units that will do what you want. The pioneer avicd3 will allow you to use other functions once you load your nav point into the unit via the nav dvds. if you dont want to use dvds, you need to get a unit that has a built-in hard drive that stores all the gps data. the pioneer avicz2 is a good example of this.

When you look for you unit, do some research to make sure it can be "bypassed" (meaning getting around the lock on playing a dvd while driving). Most have available ipod adapters.

Please include description in title next time around. It helps noobs find the answers to their own questions when they search. If someone is searching for key words, a title such as the one above will be worthless, even though the contents of the thread may provide vital answers to their questions.

Thank you.
