Default "Load Error" when displaying Album Art with Kenwood DNX7100

I just had a Kenwood DNX7100 installed in my 350Z with the KCA-ip300 iPod connection cable. I have a new 160 GB iPod Classic that I'm using.

The songs from the iPod play fine, but the deck won't show the album art. It just shows "Load Error" in place of where it would normally display the album art.

The iPod itself is having no problems displaying the album art, so the files did get transferred to the iPod okay.

Has anyone run into anything like this before? I've already contacted Kenwood and am waiting for a response from them. But if somebody here knows anything, that would be most helpful. :-)

Thanks.

Just like the new Iphone the new Ipods have a newer firmware standard. The new update for this firmware is currently being tested and should be available by the end of the month. The good news is that all 07 Kenwood USB models including the video models will be able to be upgraded to the new firmware via the usb port.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I just tried my friend's 80 GB iPod and it worked, so I was going to get rid of my iPod Classic. I won't do that now.

How do you update the firmware on the Kenwood? Do you need a USB hard drive? It would be awesome if I could copy the files onto the iPod's hard drive and it could take the update files from there (probably not going to happen though).

The update will most likely be a download from the website and you will load it on a flash drive and plug it into the unit at that point.

Cool. I just want to add that Kenwood got back to me and verified that the iPod is too new to work just yet. Props to Kenwood for being so quick to respond - and actually answering the question. Great customer service!
