Default Problem installing head unit, please help

I'm installing my deck as we speak. I had all the wires connected, but didnt have the ground wire ran. Turned the car on and nothing happened. Then remembered, so I put the ground wire on that ground up close to where the gauges go. The radio came on, all is good. Then the lights on my dash (speedo and tach) started going on an off, and now are off all together. They wont come back on. Neither will my radio. What the hell did i break??

Any ideas or input pleaseeee, i need to get this done.

I'm not a stereo expert but I have done some installs. Double check where you pulled the power for the head unit. If you tapped off of a hot wire to the instrument display, that could do it. Also if the lights were flashing, you may have swapped an amp output wire with the lighting wires. You may also reconsider where you attach your ground. They are all off now probably because the fuse blew.

Figured it out, it was the mirror fuse?

Thanks for the response!

How would the mirror fuse cause the gauges to go on and off first?

If that fuse blew, there is something else wrong.
