cruiz control

With the drive by wire system you will need to get a cc unit that is compatible. Older actuator driven CC systems won't work.
I've personally never seen a DBW compatiable CC system, but I've heard people talk about them, so I assume they exist.

This has got to be one of the most commonly asked questions about a base model. In the 4 years I've been following the Z, I've never seen anybody who has successfully done a CC install on a base Z.
It's not as simple as just adding some electronics - it would have to be something that worked in conjunction with the ECU. Not a trivial task! When you consider the small number of base models produced, the market for a CC just isn't there. They'd be expensive if somebody ever did produce one.

I read on some obscure z forum that some member got his cruise to work. He had to add the button, some pedal assembly and had to put in a new ecu from an enthusiast edition along with running some harness stuff. Do a google search and eventually you'll find it.
It was a long time ago and I'm not going to try to find it. If you really need cruise that bad, just trade in your base for an equivalent enthusiast... shouldn't set you back too much. All depends on how much work you want to put into it.

CC can be done, but is it worth it?
I looked into this and the required parts came out to be
1) ecu (there are two different ecu,,, one for base and the other for the rest, I think car toys or turbo toys ?? sell some used ones)
2) pedal switches for clutch and brake
3) steering wheel buttons
As far as I can tell, the above parts are what you need...
Hooking them into the harness? it will be tough
Like I said, this can be done, but ask yourself if this is worth the money and time

That is not a major problem. The keys can be recoded. If you need additional keys check this link:
