I would like to keep my 07 factory Bose head unit and add an external amplifier and sub. Has anyone had any experience using a line out convertor on the Bose signal wires to feet an amplifier? I'm a bit reluctant to just dive in there and start cutting wires and hooking things up as I've heard how proprietary Bose technology is.

i don't think spending any $ to keep factory hu and bose amp is worthwhile

350zspl, thanks for the input, and I agree with you when I had my '04, but you don't see many aftermarket in-dash 6 disc/MP3 capable like the stock Bose.
