Default Sub Question

So I have never really been into the stereo side of modding, however I decided to get a nice clean system due to the BLOSE (enough said) factory. I have a simple Panasonic double-din monitor, 6.5 infinity perfect comp., and a 4 channel amp. Looking to get a single 10" sub (zenclosure), I recieved an new Kicker comp vr from a friend who had it sitting in his closet. Looking on line it isnt exactly the highest line sub out there. Is it decent (havent installed it yet), or should I look for something else? If so what?

Price range around $250.00
Just want nice clean bass.

-Thanks

Nice, clean, and tight bass are a sealed enclosure which is what the Zenclosure is so that's half the battle. The volume of the box is approximately 0.75 cu.ft. so you'll need a subwoofer designed for that size. That's pretty much the most common size to match a 10" woofer so you've got a bunch of choices.

If you got the sub for free why not throw it in the zenclosure and see if you like it. Just because it isn't the highest end sub doesn't mean it will sound like poo. Make sure you get an airtight seal when mounting and feed it the recommended rms power and you may like it. if not, sell it on ebay and start your search for a new sub.
