Default Who's got a 12??

I've been searching and searching and can't find any threads on 12"s. I listen to a decent amount of rap, and would rather have a 12 than a 10 in my Z. I tried finding some zenclosures that are 12's but havent had any luck. Anybody that has one, hows the fitment?

Damn now I wish the strut was higher so I could fit a 12 in a Zenclosure! I want the deep bass!

Search on my build thread and Kwame's. It will give you an example of how to fit 12's in the Z.

A 10in W7 will slam just about as hard as 2 12in w3's and it is way more clear, but I too wish I had 12's sometimes.

I have 2 10w7's in my Z and its too much. Always have the Q-bass turned all the way down 1 would be plenty but I ahve this thing with being symmetrical.

the picture above is actually quite nice. I have 2 10's in a Z enclosure and it is border line air space. The 10's dont pick up some notes because of it. Honestly, i couldn't imagine there being anything remotely close to adequate air space for 2 12's under the strut. I would put 1 nice 12 in there and drive the hell out of it. Probably would sound better than 2 that are fighting for a lack of space. Also will save you a blown 12 every year. (1 sub will blow the other from lack of air space) Good luck with your decision.

We usually do not sell audio products, despite what you see in my signature. I had the boxes custom made by an audio shop up in Conn.
