Hello

I live in North Carolina and i need to an AMP installed and later on ill get new speakers etc.. Anyone here know of a good place around Raleigh or Fayetteville that does a good job installing and has worked on 350Zs before?

Thanks

I don't know if they've done 350s before, but Audio Advice is a great place with knowledgable installers.

Sorry, I was going on a 3rd party recommendation. You can always try NOW Audio/Video, I know they do car installs and are a pretty reputable place.

Thats a bunch of crap, all they have to do is remove the old amp and run cables for your new one.

I suppose maybe they assumed you wanted to keep your Bose head unit? In that case, I don't know about using it with an aftermarket amp, however, I wouldn't recommend keeping the stock head unit if you are going for new speakers and amp. The stock head unit simply isn't very good quality and there are much better head units to be had for a decent cost. Check out the Nakamichi 400 on Ebay for nice, stock looking, high quality head unit.

Yes i was going to keep my stock head unit and just replace the amp (and in future the speakers) i like having the indash 6 disc cd changer. SO if i keep my stock bose HU i cant just replace my amp? I have to replace my HU as well???

I have seen a couple of devices that would let you keep your HU. I am sure that most people, including myself. would suggest that you replace it. Now Audio Video on Glenwood in Raleigh has a great installer. He did all my work and he is a great guy.

If you want to retain the ability to have an in-dash 6-disc changer, go with this Nakamichi model:

http://www.nakamichi.com/auto/musicbank/mb_75_specs.htm

It is overall superior to the Bose and still retains a stock look.

Or you could get a HU that plays mp3 cds and fit over 6 discs of music on 1.

well reason i wanted to keep my BOSE HU for now is because i dont have any extra cash (HU i want cost probably around $250). I was hoping just for now (in the future ill upgrade) to totally replace the bose AMP with my amp..

Then in a month i was gonna replace all my speakers and then month or two after that replace my HU

ok got the amp installed. he installed in behind the stock sub location. Overall the car sounds much better with just the amp replaced. only problem is the sub that came with the car sucks and with the new amp its very under powered.

The installer said that on tuesday he should be getting some 10s in and we can put one in the stock sub locations and see how it sounds and if it rattles etc...
