Default CD player stops working in hot weather

Has anyone had trouble with their CD player giving an "Error 2" message when it gets hot? This is very annoying as I can be jammin' to something and all the sudden it just stops. Or if i get in the car on a hot day it wont work at all......What gives?

maybe your cd melted inside

take it back to the dealer, hasn't been that hot here to see that happen yet.

again, used cheap media, and store bought CDs, in GA, 90 degree days, never had any problem, but this might be different for bose stereo vs base.

The stereo unit will need to be replaced, under warranty, most likely a bad diode.

It does seem like it does this more with burned cd's, but i usually don't have the prob unless it's hot outside....dunno. Thanks for the input anyway
