I want one.....how much, what model and where do I get it?

 

I bought into the whole minidisc system in about 1994, when it was still fairly cutting edge. I think I spent about $600 on a MD recorder, then eventually bought a small portable MD player also. Somehow, the technology never really made it in the US. It's huge in Japan, but I think mp3, recordable CDs and portable digital are basically the death knell for MD.

So, in the end, I have about $1000 of MD equipment sitting unused on my desk.

Anybody want some blank MD's?

Is that a Sony JDM trim plate, or Nissan JDM trim plate?
Is the head unit a detachable face?

How do you like that stereo overall? Able to get all of your
stations or missing any?

I've read that Sony is now putting mp3 onto the mini disc. One of the mini disc will hold about 300 + megs of mp3. The bad thing is sony only has a new portable mini disc mp3 player. None for the cars yet. Still waiting. Here a link if you would like to know more. If anyone has an update on this for cars, please post them.
