Sirius antenna on roof...major damage if I pull off?
If I dont end up subscribing to Sirius, since my Z has the Kenwood FM Modulator in it...i'll want to rip the antenna off the back of the roof...i tried pulling it up but that sucker is on there tight...how is it applied to the roof and am I gonna need to repaint if I do pull it off.
Why the doof before me put it on his roof..i have no clue...i feel like I HAVE to subscribe to Sirius now just to justify not having to take the antenna off....wonder how much it would cost to repaint if I had to rip the antenna off.

The antenna is double sticky taped to the roof. Get some fishing line, and run it inder the antenna from the front. Slide it back and forth down the underside of the antenna untill it frees it. You can clean the roof off with bug and tar remover and rewax. I had the Sirius antenna on the roof of my GTP, and using this method, it came right off with no paint damage.
I mounted the antenna on the rear strut bar of the Z and it works great. You should try Sirius, i bet you will like it!

Sirius is great. Have it on my other car and I feel like ripping the whole system out and put it in my Z just for the satellite. If you have the antenna and tuner, subscribe to it and leave it. Otherwise, yeah the fishing line method works fine. I don't have the money to upgrade the whole audio system, but I want satellite and hate FM modulators. Anyone here have Sirius w/ FM? How does it sound?
