Zenclosure 1 10" or 2 10"s?
I'm in a bit of a pickle. I'm getting a Zenclosure just not sure if to get the 1 10" or the 2 10"s!
Here is my setup
Alpine w205 with a Alpine V-Power 400W Mono MOSFET Amp.
Here is my thing I only have about $250 for subs! So what should I do go with a JL 10 single or two alpine 10" subs?

I don't see your $250 to spend on subs a problem, I feel the problem is in the 400RMS watts. Is that at 4ohms? can the amp be safely bridged to 2ohms and what is it rated at 2ohms? If 400RMS is the most power you can get from your amp, then go with 1 GOOD 10". If you can get 800RMS out of it, go with 2 10". There are better and cheaper options than both the JL and Alpine subs you speak of.
What's your goal for bass?
What type of music do you listen to?
What is your front stage consisting of (speakers and watts)?

# 400W RMS (continuous) x 1 @ 2 ohms, 14.4V, 20Hz - 20kHz, 1% THD
# 220W RMS (continuous) x 1 @ 4 ohms, 14.4V, 20Hz - 20kHz, 1% THD
