I've been thinking of getting an Ipod video to hook up to play music and video in the car. I figure since I have to add something to hook up the ipod I might as well spend more and be able to hook up the video.

Does anyone have any experience with it or anything like it? Or is there another way to be able to use the nav screen for my own inputs?

I realize I also have to add something along w/ that for my sound also.

i have a AVIC n1 which has video inputs, along the same lines would an ipod touch broadcast video and its screen to the hu???

Don't know anything about that HU, but I don't see why not. More than likely you'll have to do a mod to be able to play the video while moving though if you're interested in that.
