To Escort SR7 Owners!
How do you find the system? In your opinion...was the worth the extra dough? cause it is pretty expensive! But I really don't want the hassle of tickets...especially in open roads where Lidar is the most prevalent.
Well first off the dealer price is crap. You can find them for around 600-700 on ebay.
I love mine. It was a pain running all the wires but the system has been great to me. The range is nuts, I get hits miles before I even see the cop. For states that have laws against radar its great because you can hid the display and the radar and laser mounts are usually hidden by the bumpers.
You can also upgrade by adding on the ZR-3 shifters, they connect right up to the SR7 headunit.
As for the lidar, I haven't gotten any tickets since I've had it (knock on wood) so I guess its working.

Where did you put the front radar and shifter units? I have the SRX, installed it, and could not get the connections to work.. It kept saying Laser N/A, please check receiver connections. I ended up taking it off the car.
by having the radar mounted up front...what happens with radar behind you? and also...I wonder what would happen if I didn't mount the rear laser...I just don't want so many 'eye sores'...and I don't 'think' rear laser is too much to worry about.

We put the SRX on the wife's Magnum R/T. It works very well. She hates any radar detector noise, but she likes the go pedal so we had to hook her up with something.
NOTE:
We ended up connecting the remote indicator light in the center of the instrument cluster. The green "on" light was too bright at night, but we found that the green "on" color can be disabled while still leaving the blinking "red" functional. (just cut one of the three leads on the LED, it's not a programming option)
I drive the "Mother Ship" from time to time and I think it works better than my X50's audio alerts. (Because you know there is an alert even with the radio jammin')
BTW: I have my X50 tied to a ZR3 on the Z. It works.
