Default Tell me about your Speaker, Sub and Amp replacements (Bose Unit with Navagation)

HAS ANYONE REPLACED JUST THE SPEAKERS, SUB AND AMP AND ARE HAPPY WITH THE SOUND QUALITY FROM THE EXSITING HEAD UNIT? IF SO, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHICH SPEAKERS, SUB AND AMP SETUP YOU WENT WITH AND THE DIFFERENCE IT MADE TO OVERALL SOUND QUALITY.

THANKS,

Sound is 100 per cent better after replacing everything except head unit however you still have to contend with the audio pilot adjusting your volume level. I find that incredibly annoying and will eventually replace headunit although I will keep Bose in original setting and put new unit in glove box behind me. Some have said the sound is 1000 times better by getting rid of head unit but I am happy with quality of sound now. A new subwoofer makes a HUGE difference as all the Bose one does is push alittle air into your back with no sound! Good Luck

I was facing the same problem a few months ago when I realized how bad the “Premium Sound Systems” is on my new touring. I wanted to keep the original head unit at all cost. After reading through this great site and visiting a few auto stereo shops, I realized that the Head Unit is the first thing that has to go!

Look below for a list of what I ended up with.
