if it is ported you only got about 3 to 3.25 gross after sub and port displacement there is not enough space for 1 ( properly anyway )

Image Dynamics IDQ15. An SQ sub... so it's not a bottom dweller. Fast and clean, but I wanted more ooooomph.... so I copied Kwame.

i also use 12" single sub set up as well
if you do 1 each 12" ported in about 2.75 net at 30-35 hertz
on a
fi btl
digital design 9512
RE MT
Rd Alpha or heavy weight
and throw 2500 to 5000 watts on it
sub up and port back
it will KILL the lows i can assure you

if it is ported each sub is seeing about 1 to 1.5 net
18" sub needs at least 3.5 to 4 net minimum to sound right
i could only find the side pic of the car with the 2 18's sorry? ill try to find the better pic later.

ive had multiple dual 12" set ups in a 240, they are great and all for an all around sub rock rap w/e. but im really looking to hit the lows incredibly.
350zspl, how much do you have invested in your single 15" setup?

Again, just curious, not trying to offend.

but they can't sound good , or lets say they can't sound as good as if they were in optimum space

might be hard to believe but 8" tuned at 30 hertz plays lows very impessively
tuning any sub 30-to 35 hertz really accentuates the lows
now tuning this low , and your gonna lose midbass 55- 65 hertz
are you trying to make me ill , try to account for money wasted
RD Alpha $ 500
BJ Fisher Custom box triple baffle $ 200 - $ 250
Hifonics Maxximus 10K $ 2000
Zed Deuce $ 550
stinger 1000 and 680 x 3 = $ 500
multiple 0 awg runs $ 200
CDT Gold front stage $ 2500
avic d3 $800
must i continue

hertz? dont explain ill research it myself. But basicly it may be more cost effective and less of a headache maker, if i went with two 12's rather than
15's and tuned them properly they would quad the lows like im wanting? also lets say i want to hit the lows for a lil while then i want to change it up to some rock or something and need tighter bass, is this "hertz" thing changeable on the fly?
ha thats alot of flow you got spent on that, but im sure it slams.
originaly from delray here

30 hertz is 30 cycles per second
50 hertz is 50 cycles per second
you get the picture
if your enclosure is aero ports instead on slot ports the you can have different length ports
longer lowers tuning and increase low end
shorter raises tuning and it gets more mid bass
you can have an enclosure with 2 sets of ports
1 set at 30 hertz to slam the lows
1 set at 45 hertz to do well on rock and roll
1 sub , 1 box , 2 sets of interchangle aero ports hope this helps

issue if your gonna do 2 each 12" than it will need to be sealed and not ported as i do not think that there is enough space to port 2 each 12" subs
which means you are not able to change tuning on your box if sealed
possibly might be able to do 2 each 12" ported but you will need to find 12" subs that are shallower on mounting depth and require like 1 ft net each
it is cheaper and more cost effective to do i each 15" ported
i am confident that 1 each 15" ported in 2.75 to 3 net with 2500 watts will kill the lows and allow you to interchange ports and adjust tuning to different frequencies
