I won't say it's never been done, but I haven't seen it. It would take a lot of work, materials, and imagination (not to mention all of the cargo space) to get a large enough enclosure for a single 15" in the hatch of the Z.

If I had more time and will power, I'd figure out a way to stuff an 18" in there...

Why not just get a 2 12" subs that can handle the power you are looking to do. I would think the 12" would hit cleaner and give a tighter sound than a 15" would. I could be wrong though...

I have my 2 15'' fosgate power series sitting in my living room, and i thought about putting one in my z, but i think it would add too much weight to the car, and running 2000 watts to it with the amp i have, it owuld destroy the Z completly no matter how much dynomat you try to stuff in there

I wanna do it so bad because ive never had a sub smaller than a 15'', and i dont think i could go down to a 12, 10 or 8 because the sound is just not the same. You will never be able to get the same drop from 15'' with any other size speaker IMHO

If you are going to do it make sure it looks clean. Id rather run 2 12's then 2 15's.

Off topic....Tony, I'm just curious but why are your sentences like this? It confuses me sometimes. Why not write, "I use one 15" ported sub in the Z."?

Again, just curious, not trying to offend.
