Default help on removing bose wiring and speakers

hey i have an 04 with bose. but my bose keep cutting in and out so i am force to listen to radio for the past 4 months.

im fed up with that and is going to buy a 4ch amp, 2 10 subs, a zenclosure, and components speakers for the front. but before i do this i have to remove my factory bose unit. i know how to get to the HU and to the speakers and stuff. but i dont know how to completely remove all the factory wiring. i have read and heard that its best to just rewire than to place the new system with fact. wiring. i have search all over google and my350z but no luck. so im coming to you guys to help. so post replies if you could because im tired of radio.

long question short... how to remove factory bose wiring and replacing it with new wiring?

oh yeah i forgot to mention that im not getting a new Hu but instead installing a mac mini instead. i have a lilliput touch screen that i will replace the hu with.

any help is appreciated

you can leave the actual wiring, it runs through factory looms and harnesses that would take a very long time to undo. just leave the wiring and run new runs of speaker wiring.

+1

BTW, if its just cutting out when you listen to CDs and not the radio... you can replace the HU and you should be fine.

oh thanks...so if i was gonna put in a mac mini then i can just use the original speakers and subs. im not really going for sound performance or anything. i just want to be able to listen to cds on both sides of the speakers and not just the right side. so all i need is throw away the hu and rewire the stock wiring to be plug in the mac right?

I will say no only because you will be better off replacing the speakers with aftermarket, running new speaker wire, adding an outboard amp or 2, adding in the MAC mini utilizing all of the proper power transformers and all.

well how hard is it to run new wires threw the car. i know how to take the interior apart and stuff and i know how to run speakers wire to the rear but i dont want to remove the dash to run wires to the front speakers. is there any way around removing the dash to run speakers wires to the door? if so i might go ahead and buy components speakers and subs/amp to install since bose system is so sh*tty.
